Legends and traditions
These legends describe the origins of the world according to the Wendats. They are derived from the book “Octoyton Wendake (Les Enfants de la Grande Île) : Contes de la Nation huronne-wendat”. They were collected by Marius Barbeau in 1911-1912 and then translated and adapted by Francine Vincent and Georges Sioui. The illustrations are by Mierille Sioui.
